A message from our Chairman, Sarah Hampel

I would like to pay tribute to my predecessor, Stephanie Wertheim, for her tireless efforts and support for CDFAS over the past two years.  I look forward to my chairmanship of the Society with enthusiasm and count myself very fortunate that I have such a hard-working and experienced Committee who no doubt will keep me on the straight and narrow.

We have had some excellent lectures over the last twelve months but we need to keep up-to-date with technology.   With the sound advice of our projection team, who have worked with dedication and patience, we have recently purchased some new digital equipment.   Another change is that we are trying to send all information by email, to cut costs.  Our Treasurer would be pleased to receive any new email addresses from members.

I am pleased that our Editor, Lionel Anthony, has agreed to become Vice-Chairman.  I am grateful to him and to all our contributors to the Newsletter and also to all those volunteers who organise our events so admirably.  

We have an exciting and interesting year ahead of us – enjoy!
